Two Great Opportunities

Are you, or anyone you know, between the ages of 12 and 25? Looking to release your talents? Read on...

Firstly Are you 16 – 18 years old and looking for flexible and individual training? Mix It is a training programme that allows you to choose a range of learning options. As part of Mix It you will take part in vocational subjects, functional skills, personal & social development and next steps. Our vocational subjects are sports, fitness & healthy living, art and design, and music technology. You can also take part in community engagement projects. Functional skills covers literacy, numeracy and ICT and their practical uses in today’s world.


Mix It will support you in deciding what your next steps will be; College? Work? or Further Training?


Next Steps will cover CV’s, letter writing, applications and interview techniques; giving you the resources and confidence to move on to your next step.


Literacy and Numeracy support is available on all BCTS training programmes. Mentor support is available for all learners.

Secondly SeaChange Arts are looking for young people aged 12-25 years old to come and audition for the chance to perform at this year’ Out There International Festival as part of the Slam Collective.

If you’re a comedian, singer, rapper, breakdancer, beatboxer or performer of any kind then we want to hear from you!

Auditions will be held on Wednesday 31st August at Martime House (Tourist Information Centre), Great Yarmouth from 5.30pm onwards. For more information or to book a slot please contact from SeaChange Arts on 01493 846 187, 07585 809 813 or email  slam_at_outthere@live.co.uk.  

You need to be available to rehearse on Friday 16th and perform on Saturday 17th September 2011. All travel expenses will be covered and refreshments provide for the auditions, rehearsal and performances.
