"The owners of Discount Fabrics & Bedlinen gorleston high st were in for a smelly surprse when they entered thier shop last sunday evening, they were greeted by fumes of petrol, The owner a Mr Bob Scott said it appears that people in the car park that backs directly on to the back of the shop had been used for sometime for fixing cars and that they had alledgerly poured waste petrol on to the side going under the damp proofing of the shop causing a lot damage, Mr Scott called in the fire brigade they said they were lucky that more damage did not occur ie fire, Mr Scott had to dig out all the offeneding earth and shingle and replace it also some damage to the inside of the shop will need replacing Mr Scott said that he had been campaining for some time for cctv for the council owned car park . The people fixing thier cars were unavailble for comment
