Web Site Content Support Volunteer
About this Position
A volunteer is needed to help maintain current web site using existing Content Management System.
A great chance to maintain current and learn new skills.

Potential job tasks:
- Support website design and content meet copy style guide and graphics standards.
- Perform regular reviews of the website to ensure content accuracy, timeliness and relevance.
- Test website accessibility and functionality from a variety of environments.
- Promote the website as a tool for the community
- In conjunction with other staff, create enhancements and modifications to the website.
- Post information to the website
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Design and create internet applications including interactive forms.
- Maintain current web site using Content Management System.
- Monitor web usage and provide statistics for management reporting.
- Ensure website content meets the needs of the Community.
- Consult with appropriate staff to develop new content for each section.
- Manage links and cross-promotions with other sites.
- Coordinate timely responses to e-mail inquiries received via the website.
Useful Experience (not a requirement):
- Experience in website development and maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Techniques and accepted practices of research, writing and reporting.
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP), TELNET, HTML, JavaScript language browser formatting and browser security issues.
- Forms design and report design.
- English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- The use of appropriate computer programs for development and maintenance of effective websites.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a wide variety of situations.
- Interact effectively with the media, employees and other agencies.
- Work under pressure.
- Work with all segments of the population.
- Appropriately screen confidential and sensitive information.
- Analyze, interpret and present research findings into clear, concise reports.
- Create scripted procedures and animation.
- Create and maintain Web pages.
- Conduct training sessions for users.
