Fantastic opportunity for Carers in the Great Yarmouth area.
The Carers Forum Carers Monthly Retreat is due to open on 17th June 2011 at Great Yarmouth Library.
This new initiative is to provide a monthly meeting place for unpaid adult carers to come and relax, be listened to and get information, support and training.
The Retreat will be run by Norwich and District Carers Forum in partnership with Great Yarmouth library. It is supported by the Norfolk Carers Grant.
The Retreat will invite speakers and representatives from outside agencies to provide information to our Carers.
We aim to provide training to our Carers that is chosen by them.
Examples of the type of training we aim to offer are:
Confidence Building/Raising Self Esteem;
Anger Management;
Dealing with Anxiety;
First Aid;
Changing Roles in Relationships.
The Retreat will also provide relaxation therapies, one to one support and craft workshops.
