The Community Mental Health Action Group (CMHAG) has met informally since the beginning of 2007. As well as proving an excellent networking opportunity for service users and service providers alike, CMHAG has identified several needs amongst its attendees. The main needs have been: • Support for the running of the small service user led groups • The cost of hiring a suitable venue for meetings • A wish to integrate with other appropriate groups • A need to find new and interesting things to bring to the group • Practical ways in which to raise the mood of the members of the group In order to meet the needs across Great Yarmouth and Waveney the CMHAG has become formally constituted to enable itself to run projects.
