Edward Worlledge Community Junior School made a bid for some funding via the Participatory Budgeting scheme being run in Neighbourhood Management areas of the Borough. They have been successful and are now planning to hold a community carnival on June 18th this summer. Local businesses are being contacted for support and a panel is being set up to oversee the running of the event.
The aim of the event is to bring the local community together. This will be the largest community event in the area for some time. Other local schools are being invited to participate in order to ensure as many children, parents and locals join in as possible. It is hoped that a procession will take place around the area on the day.
