Desmonds, a very popular new cafe, is a spear heading new venture in Kirkley, Lowestoft. People from all corners of the UK are coming to see what this lively and exciting little place is all about.
Des produces all his own food and beverage and he brings a well deserved boost to the local economy.
This fabulous out of the ordinary place is situated in the heart of of Kirkley and offers a place with an eccentric difference.
The coffee shop is decked out with Desmonds own home collections ranging from his own music collection, pictures and paintings, many of which are his own artistic talent. He produces his own stick of rock so sweet lovers with dentures be warned! All his food and drink is homemade and his Gold Award winning icecreams are made locally.
Desmond has 30 years experience in catering running 4 different restaurants. He then retired but wanted to do something where he could continue to meet people.
Customers need not fear with Desmonds Vintage First Aid Box should you acquire a paper cut or accidentally overdose on this eccentic mans lively sense of humour.
Regular coffee drinkers can start a loyalty card and build up points to get a free coffee of their choice, Desmonds Chai Latte is particularly popular.
Desmond invites you "on a holiday away from Lowestoft itself - only just up the road"
As you can see from the marks awarded by this reporter, Desmond has set a benchmark for others to measure themselves against.
