April 2010
We are a group of family carers of adult people with learning difficulties. These are some of the reasons this group was set up :

As a group our aim is to support each other, which is very important
Being someone who has taken time to pick up this leaflet, take the next step and come to a meeting, you may find it interesting
We Meet On The First Thursday Of Each Month
1000-1200
at:
The Kings Centre
Queen Anne’s Road
Southtown
Great Yarmouth
Ample parking,
disabled access,
cafeteria for light meals
If the meeting venue and/or time is not suitable for you please contact the Chair or Secretary if you would like to be kept informed of progress, or receive minutes of meetings, notice of events etc.
Our meetings attract up to 20 people including health professionals from East Norfolk and the County.
It’s not just the big issues: if you are concerned or interested in any aspect of Caring please come along.

Access to Queen Anne's Road is from Harfreys Roundabout from either north or south of area
The Group works closely with the Learning Difficulties Team, who are very supportive and attend Group meetings, allowing Group members to keep abreast of changes in services and be part of the consultative process.
It’s not all serious;
In 2009 we had a Summer and Christmas Lunch to relax in good company for a little while.
Further events are planned for 2010/2011
