How do I register on 96ktalkback?

Go on to the home page and click on the Talkback NOW! Register link at the top of the page.

Any problems click the contact us link top right corner of the page

How do I get my own Blog?

Once registered you will be able to log in to the interactive section on the site by entering your email and password.

You will then be directed to your own dashboard.

You can return to your dashboard at any time by clicking "MY ACCOUNT" link at the top of all pages.

To create a Blog click on "Manage Blog" link in the list on the right hand side

If you would like to add your own Web pages or Website please use the "Contact Us" and we will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.

Can you make the font size on the site larger for the visually impaired

We are intending to make the standard text larger very soon which should help. We take this issue very seriously and do intend to make the site more friendly towards visualy impared people in future. However the current site is in Pilot and future enhancements to the site will depend on funding and support.

When I am logged into the site how do I access the social networking area i.e. my blog and groups

While logged on just click 'my account' at the top of all the pages, next too logout.

The Network on 96ktalkback refers to all the members and groups registered on the site. We will soon be renaming this section to 96k Community

I have clicked on the Have Your Say Questionnaires and nothing is coming up on the page

Apologies but the questionnaires only work at present while using Mozilla Firefox Internet Browser. And you do need to be logged in to the site.

We are working on this issue which will be fixed soon. 96k project team

I'm using Internet Explorer 6 and the site doesnt seem to work correctly can you fix this

96ktalkback has been designed to work in Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox. Microsoft no longer fully supports IE6 or IE7 and some functionality on the site and other sites will not work in IE6 or IE7.

We would suggest that you download an up to date version of your Internet Browser.

How do I become a Community Reporter

Community Reporters learn how to produce content with new social media tools such as blogs, podcasts and films and use everything from mobile phones to video cameras and webcams. Stories are distributed through our on-line networks and through other social network sites such as twitter and facebook etc.. meaning that those voices can be heard by anyone on-line.

Can I add my event to the site?

Yes you can!

There are two simple ways:

  1. Use contact us form and we will arrange to put your event on the site
  2. Become a community reporter and we will give you access to our Website builder to create pages yourself (minimal training required)

We are aware that the site seems to suggest that you can Add an event to "My Event" link on your dashboard (profile page) Unfortunately this function is not yet available but we intend to remedy this ASAP. Thanks for your patience
