Community Group 96kfr33style are attmpting to rekindle the feeling of community within Great Yarmouth with their innovative group set up. 96kfr33style is a group for everyone aged 5 up, with 4 seperate clubs within it. The idea being to get whole communities helping each other through 96kfr33style and actively taking an interest and ownership of the areas they live in with members from the groups all helping each other and helping to bridge the generational gap.
96kfr33style is more than a youth club because it aims to give back to the community rather than just take. We have recently helped one of the local primary schools in the community which was not only fun for us but benificial for the children we are helping.
Local school Alderman Swindell had two sheds whose roofs needed refelting and instead of being paying somebody to do it, the guy's from 96kfr33style's fr33style club offered to do the work for free in conjunction with the areas Community Development Worker Mark Llewellyn who sourced local businesses willing to donate the neccessary equipment to carry out the work, and liased with the school and 96kfr33style to arrange a suitable time to carry out the work. The guy's from 96kfr33style took two hours to refelt the two shed roofs and trim back an encroaching tree.
