Safer Norfolk Foundation Fund
The Safer Norfolk Foundation Fund aims to support projects that benefit people of all ages in Norfolk who are disadvantaged, deprived or vulnerable in any way.
The fund aims to:
- - Promote health and wellbeing
- - Tackle disadvantage
- - Support local solutions to meet local needs
- - Promote community cohesion
- - Develop sustainable and supportive communities
Priority will be given to projects that:
- - Provide young people with positive activity and influence that helps develop good citizenship or helps prevent anti-social behaviour
- - Improve community safety issues, particularly for elderly or vulnerable people
- - Promote community cohesion, particularly for projects that bridge generation gaps or helps minority groups to become part of the wider community
The money in the fund is generated by the sale of lost or stolen items that, despite the best efforts of the Constabulary, cannot be reunited with their rightful owner. Lost and stolen items are sold through national police property disposal websites. The monies raised will go straight into the Safer Norfolk fund to be allocated to local good causes.
Grants are available to charities and constituted voluntary and community groups countywide.
Grants of up to £2,000 are available.
Closing date: Friday 8 April
