GFS PLATFORM FOR YOUNG WOMEN
GFS platform is for young women between the ages of 14 and 25 who are pregnant or have children.
Tuesdays is Terrific Toddlers from 10 till 2
Tuesday twice a month is the night they hold the hot gossip (chat and cuppa)
Wednesday 11.00 – 1.00 is bouncing babes
Wednesday 1.00 – 4.00 they hold a sexual health drop-in
Thursday 11.00 – 1.00 Antenatal drop-in
Advice and support for young mothers and mothers to be on a range of issues. It also gives them the opportunity to meet other people that can relate to what they are saying. The Great Yarmouth GFS platform was established in 1989 so you could say they know what there talking about.
Lynn is the Antenatal Support worker
Jo is the Young Mothers Support worker
Marie is the Learning Support worker
Kirsti and Jade are the sexual health workers
The Butterfly Effect is an exciting new project for young women aged between 12-18 years old in the Great Yarmouth and Lowerstof areas. It’s a two year, Big Lottery funded project providing free and accessible activities and service for young women to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
