Great Yarmouth has the 2nd most complete Medieval Town Wall in the country, complete with gate towers. Used to raise taxes on arrival or departure and to keep the pirates out altogther, the wall is still a fundamental part of Great Yarmouth life. Starting from the 12th Century St. Nicholas Church, this walk includes a 300 year old smoke house and pottery.
Guided walk starts from St. Nicholas Church, close to the Market Place. Length of walk is approx 1 3/4 hours.
