The Big Conversation: Norfolk County Council – Proposed Budget Cuts Invitation

29 Nov 2010

A GYVSP Event

3 December 2010  9.30am – 1.00pm
King Centre, Great Yarmouth

(Arrive 9.30 for a 10.00 start)

The Comprehensive Spending Review of 20th October brought news of the biggest cuts to public sector funding seen in decades. The Big Conversation is Norfolk County Council’s consultation on the proposed budget savings that it will have to make as a result.

Voluntary Norfolk is hosting this event because we believe it’s important to bring the voluntary and public sectors together at the earliest opportunity to begin to consider and discuss our joint responses to the enormous challenges these proposals raise for service users and for organisations delivering front-line services.

We are expecting input from senior officers from the County Council and there will be opportunity for questions and answers on some of the key budget proposals the County is suggesting.

Background Information

The Norfolk County Council website has a range of documents on the Big Conversation consultation on proposed budget cuts, which can be found here and here.

Background documents to accompany the specific budget proposals are on the County Council’s website.
