Today the Gt Yarmouth Racecourse hosted its first summertime raceday - the temperature soared to 20C whilst the horses roared around the track. Norfolk Racing Club was a sponsor and launched itsself with a busy day of interviews with BBC Radio Norfolk and the crew of Attheraces TV, and set up their marquee, supplied by Budget Marquees, on the lawn to attract attention and new members. 'Guide dogs for the blind' was the main charity of the event and they appreciated all the donations even though their dear dog was feeling the warmth of the sun despite hogging the shade of the marquee. Water was his drink of the day; Champagne for the winners! I won 9/2 on the 3.30 race and felt this was the best day of the year so far!
