Rural North and South Bus Tour March 2011
REACHING OUT
Rural North Tenants and Residents Association has teamed up with Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYCH) and Norfolk RCC to deliver an outreach tour.
A recent consultation identified that there is a lack of awareness of service provision, which we want to address.
Our aim is to take services into the rural communities and we would like you to join us. It is an excellent opportunity to promote your service and gain a better understanding of the access difficulties rural communities face
Provisionally the tour will take place on Thursday 10th, 17th and 24th March, (tbc) between 10am – 3pm approximately. Two days will be spent in the northern villages and one day in the southern villages.
We will be using a refurbished 1959 Bedford coach with room for 30 on board, although supporting vehicles will be in attendance. Refreshments will be provided throughout each day.
Building on the success of two previous tours we will be identifying key locations where the bus will stop, work with local parish councils and community groups and advertise and promote the tour to all tenants and residents in the rural villages.
This will encourage high levels of attendance across the demographic area and give value for money. This event has been funded by and organised by GYBC/ LSP, Great Yarmouth Community Housing/Tenants Forum, Norfolk Rural Community Council and the Rural North Tenants and Residents Association. We do however; welcome any financial contributions from partner organisations and publicity will reflect this.
For publicity purposes please let us know before 11th February if you are able to join us, and how you can contribute.
We look forward to seeing you in March.
