Plea for mental health service.
The Community Skills Swap, is rapidly approaching the end of its one year pilot. The pilot was funded through the NHS small grants fund and Lowestoft Together, and has made a tremendous difference to the lives of over sixty people with anxiety, depression other mental health issues as well as providing support for their carers.
The Community Skills Swap has evolved beyond its original remit and its membership is building fast. It is a crying shame therefore that it may not be able to continue beyond the pilot stage due to lack of funding. The amount needed is minimal, with just one full time employee and we are hoping that a local philanthropist may step forward and rescue the project.
