Localism plus cuts conference
The Eastern Region Conference to be held at The Assembly House Norwich on 4th March 2011 offers an opportunity to meet and work together with your local Older People's Forums/Groups and Age UKs/Concerns to address the difficult environment that we now find ourselves working in.
The aim of the conference is to hear and debate how the proposed cuts in funding to Local Authorities and Health can be addressed by our communities working together to better understand the changes we are facing, and look at ways that we can direct and influence local commissioning.
If you are unable to attend in person please consider passing the booking forms to other members that have the capacity and would wish to develop stronger working relationships.

Tree and Crib festival in St Nicholas Church Dec 2011
St. Nicholas Church Preservation Trust and St. Nicholas Church are thinking of organising a "Tree and Crib Festival" in the church next December. The event would take place over three to four days between the Christmas Fair and Christmas and will be a fund-raising event for the fabric and the organ of the church. It also will be a good way to advertise your business/society/charity etc.
They hope to see some original thought and "tree" and "crib" would be interpreted loosely to allow exhibitors to use their imagination and produce something out of the ordinary.
Before taking the project further, they would like to gauge enthusiasm from the town. If you are interested, please email paulpearce@yarmouth8143.freeserve.co.uk
Feel free to forward the newsletter on to anyone you think may be interested.
